RSo Course

Following the requirement by the CFO that an RSO be present whenever the 25 and 100 yard ranges are active, we are now holding a series of RSO training courses to get as many members trained as RSO. The courses are free and last between 2-3 hours.

Wib Fries Passes Away

Former President and Long time BRG member has passed away on Dec 11 2014. Wib's family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A Masonic Memorial Service under the auspices of Waterloo Lodge #539 will be held on Monday at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Service in the chapel on Tuesday, December 16 at 1:30 p.m. Reception to follow.

Fries, Wilbert "Wib"
Passed away surrounded by family at St. Mary's Hospital on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at the age of 84. Born October 6, 1930, son of Frederick and Margaret Fries in Rosendale, ON. Dear husband of Shirley Fries (nee Bisch). Loving father of Linda (Don) Ripley, Steven (Karen) Fries, and Janice (Stuart) Hurst. Proud grandfather of Luke (Tammy) and Christopher (Nina) Ripley, Emma and Ian Hurst, Ryan and Sarah Fries and great-grandfather of Benjamin, Matthew and Jordan Ripley. Brother of Elaine Geffros, Phyllis Geiger, Joyce Hutchings, Earl (Jackie) Fries, Ross (Carla) Fries, Doug Fries, and Gary Fries. Brother-in-law of Molly Fries. Predeceased by his parents, brothers Harold, Robert and Murray and daughter Sharon, in infancy. Before retirement in 1995, Wib was employed by Koch Transport Ltd. for 37 years and retired as Operations Manager. He was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church.
Comrade Wilbert was a 26-year Member of RCL 530 Waterloo.
Wib was a long time member of Waterloo Masonic Lodge #539 and served as Master of the Lodge in 1981. He was elected as D.D.G.M. of Waterloo District for 1997-1998. He was also a member of Mocha Shriners and served as President of Waterloo County Shrine Club in 1989, a member of Moore Sovereign Consistory, Hamilton and also a long time member of Bridgeport Rod and Gun Club and served as President for 10 years.
Wib's family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Monday December 15, 2014 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral Service in the chapel on Tuesday December 16 at 1:30 pm. Reception to follow. Interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Shriner's Hospitals for Children or Reformation Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home). January Membership Meeting Postponed

Our montly membership meeting is usually held on the First Tuesday of the Month, however the first Tuesday of January 2013 is also New Years Day, as such, the meeting is now POSTPONED to the 8th of January.

Start time is is still 8pm.

Mandatory Club Safety Training

Jim Salisbury will be conductiing two more sessions of the MANDATORY CLUB SAFETY TRAINING on June 24th at 2pm and June 25th at 7pm. These sessions are scheduled to last approximately one hour.

Every member (New and Old) must attend one session of training or they will not be allowed to shoot once the new access control system is introduced. Please make every effort to attend.
