All right, This one has been a really long time coming. We're going to be hosting an open day. The idea is to let the public come in and learn a bit about the sport and get to know our community. We're going to have handguns, rifles and shotguns of diffrent styles and action types.

It will also be a good opportunity for people who are already into the shooting sports to try a diffrents guns.

UPDATE - We're going to have games and activities for the kids.

Mark you calendars for May 25th. from 10am - 6pm. See poster below. Also Please share the poster with as many as you can.

Volunteers Needed - We're going to need lots of volunteers. We're looking for volunteers to assist with all the diffrent jobs (from parking lot attendant to people to run the tables and help out with the supervision of the people on the ranges). Also looking for members who are willing to bring their guns out for the public to shoot (you provided the firearms, we provide the ammo).

Send me an email: If you are willing to assist or if you know possible donors. Please include a phone number that you can be reached at.

Changes to Fee Structure

At the April meeting we voted to increase the membership fees charged by the club. This was not a decision taken lightly as we strive to keep our membership cost as low as possible to make the sport accessible to larger segment of the public.

To this end we do as as much as we can around the club using volunteer effort and donations, however this does not help with our fixed expenses (heating, electricity, insurance, OFAH, etc.) and those have all been going up. So it is has been decided to moderately increase the membership to $175 from $125. For most shooters this is a very small dent in their ammo budget but for the club its the difference between our year end being written in red or black.

Full breakdown of changes can be found here.
